What you will do
- Manage project financial management for Play Matters, including grant and operating budget preparation and treasury management.
- Monitor project budgets and monthly spending plans, providing detailed variance analysis and justifications.
- Prepare and submit quarterly financial reports to donors and ensure all transactions have complete and approved documentation.
- Conduct financial verification of assigned partners and provide capacity building on budgeting and internal controls.
- Coordinate audit planning, execution, and the implementation of corrective action plans based on audit findings.
- Ensure all budgeting and grant management practices comply with global IRC policies and South Sudanese government regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or Finance.
- Professional accounting certification (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience and 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required for all staff communication.
- Experience with financial software and spreadsheets.
- Willingness to work under challenging security and living conditions in Juba, South Sudan.
