What you will do

• Contribute to the development of a new invoicing system and financial infrastructure.
• Build features for compliance, including e-invoicing, fiscalization, and VAT engines for cross-border markets.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of payment processing, reconciliation, and withdrawal systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to deliver new billing and commercial models.
• Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on auditability, correctness, and high-throughput performance.
• Actively use and integrate AI tools like Claude Code into the design, build, and debugging workflow.

Requirements

• Proficient in spoken and written English (C1 level required).
• Solid backend engineering experience with production systems.
• Experience with Java or Kotlin is preferred.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to manage projects from design to production.
• Advanced AI adoption: daily use of AI tools for coding, research, and documentation.
• Strong communication skills to align technical solutions with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial systems (billing, invoicing, payment processing).
• Experience with EU financial regulations, e-invoicing standards, or fiscalization.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka) or high-throughput data processing.
