Senior Platform Engineer (Security Service Edge)

Location: Must be based in Germany (Remote or Hybrid from Essen, Munich, or Hannover).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and evolve the global Zscaler platform.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code modules using OpenTofu/Terraform.
• Improve platform reliability, observability, performance, and security posture.
• Drive architectural decisions aligned with security principles and technology strategy.
• Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to ensure consistent governance.
• Implement automation to reduce manual effort and accelerate service delivery.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany.
• Deep experience in security or network engineering, specifically with SSE or ZTNA.
• Hands-on expertise with Zscaler or comparable SSE platforms.
• Solid understanding of proxy architectures, DNS, traffic inspection, and identity-driven policy enforcement.
• English: Business fluent required.
• German: Conversational level required.

• Experience working in large enterprise environments with global user populations.
