What you will do

• Develop PCB designs, schematics, and board layouts.
• Design system hardware architecture and define design inputs and requirements.
• Create detailed documentation for firmware and hardware, including fabrication drawings and system cabling.
• Develop functional specifications, design verification plans, and unit/system test plans.
• Perform hardware testing, system integration, and assembly.
• Conduct regulatory compliance testing and support product releases to manufacturing.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or relocate to Tokyo, Japan
• English: Business level proficiency required
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded system hardware design.
• Proficiency with Altium or other PCB layout software.
• Experience with Linux development environments and safety/reliability critical design.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in related fields such as railway, automotive, medical, or aerospace.
