What you will do

• Own production k8s cluster management, including upgrades, monitoring, capacity planning, and security.
• Develop and maintain incident response runbooks and automate alert handling.
• Debug and resolve stability issues to improve developer experience on the k8s platform.
• Evaluate and integrate OSS projects to simplify cluster management and adopt k8s best practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers to identify and fix bottlenecks in workflows and tooling.
• Manage interactions with 3rd party vendor support for triage.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Dublin, Ireland
• BSc in CS/Engineering with 3+ years of experience, or MS with 2+ years of experience.
• Strong expertise in managing on-prem/baremetal Kubernetes clusters.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Javascript, and shell scripting for automation.
• Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX, storage, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with Ansible and GitOps workflows.
