TL;DR
Senior Test Engineer (Hardware/Python): Building modular automated hardware diagnostics and production test solutions for complex systems with an accent on Python automation, board-level testing, and readable test results. Focus on extending test platforms and APIs, supporting automated test cells with contract manufacturers, and improving Linux workstation setup and production test processes.
Location: Primarily Guadalajara, Mexico, in the office or assigned local contract manufacturer sites, with work at other locations as assigned by the company.

What you will do
- Interface with contract manufacturers and production engineers to set up and support automated system testing and board test cells.
- Extend the automated testing platform, including GUI-based test execution and result review.
- Maintain and extend modular functional hardware diagnostics and APIs.
- Maintain and extend automation for Linux workstation setup.
- Drive testing solutions from rough requirements and collaborate cross-functionally to improve production test processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Python, Unix/Linux, and shell scripting.
- Experience reading board schematics, designing board functional tests, and testing ASICs.
- Familiarity with SERDES, FPGAs, DDR3/4, I2C, SPI, ENET switches and devices, optics, PCIe, and board management controllers.
- Experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Experience with liquid-cooled computer systems.
- Experience with high-density optical and network test processes, including InfiniBand and RoCE V2.
- Experience testing high-density press-fit backplanes.
- Comfort with Linux administration tools, software development tools, and scripting.
