What you will do
- Contribute to business planning for the marine cargo line of business.
- Build and maintain relationships with targeted brokers and support marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to product development as required.
- Make underwriting decisions independently with minimal referral to the DMD.
- Manage, coach, and support reporting underwriters.
- Deliver the agreed combined loss ratio target while operating within underwriting authority.
Requirements
- Superior technical knowledge of marine cargo underwriting.
- Recognized expertise and a strong reputation within the relevant market.
- Ability to comply with underwriting standards, procedures, data-input requirements, and team systems.
- Ability to work independently and make underwriting decisions within delegated authority.
