TL;DR

What you will do

  • Lead technical design and implementation of engaging, scalable gameplay systems for a large and active user base.
  • Own cross-platform development across mobile (iOS/Android), ensuring code is reusable, maintainable, and performant across environments.
  • Drive performance optimization and reliability via profiling, debugging, and troubleshooting complex mobile issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, game designers, and UX designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
  • Improve development processes, testing practices, and overall code quality.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience with strong expertise in Unity and/or other game engines.
  • Proficiency in C# or C++.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress while solving practical problems with limited advance notice.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with effective written and verbal communication, including synchronous interactions.
  • Japanese: intermediate–Business level
  • In-office requirement: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Nice to have

  • Mobile or console game performance optimization experience.
  • Shader programming experience (e.g., GLSL, HLSL, Metal).
  • Experience building products that connect people through shared real-world or interactive experiences.
