TL;DR

Senior People Operations Partner (Gamedev): Leading and evolving People Operations across the EMEA region with a strong focus on Spain, the UK, and Portugal. Focus on driving operational excellence, regional compliance, scalable process design, and a best-in-class employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

Location: Must be based in Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid: 2 days/week in the hub). This is an 8-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

What you will do

  • Lead and drive People Operations delivery across assigned EMEA countries, ensuring scalable and compliant processes.
  • Oversee end-to-end employee lifecycle events including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
  • Manage and optimize Leave of Absence processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with Legal, Payroll, and Finance to ensure compliance with local labor legislation, particularly in Spain, the UK, and Portugal.
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives within Workday and JIRA.
  • Mentor junior team members and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the region.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Generalist roles in fast-paced international environments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Strong working knowledge of Spanish labor law and HR compliance.
  • Advanced experience with Workday and ticketing systems like JIRA.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operational processes and drive improvements at scale.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, and Global Mobility teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the technology or gaming industry.
  • Knowledge of additional EMEA labor legislation frameworks.
  • Experience with HR transformation or systems implementation projects.
