AI Lead

Location: Milan, Italy (hybrid)

Starting annual base salary from: €67,000, plus variable remuneration based on role, Group, business line/function and individual performance.

What you will do

• Coordinate AI initiatives across business lines and control functions including Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Operations and HR.
• Own and prioritize the bank’s AI use-case portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment, coherence, scalability and measurable value.
• Orchestrate a federated AI operating model and connect local AI stakeholders with Global AI and Group-level initiatives.
• Support AI governance, Responsible AI principles, enterprise standards and model lifecycle practices in line with banking regulations.
• Define and monitor value-tracking indicators such as adoption, impact and scalability.
• Prepare executive-level recommendations and translate complex AI, technology and regulatory topics into clear decision-ready materials.

Requirements

• Experience in AI, advanced analytics, digital innovation or transformation within banking or another regulated industry.
• Solid understanding of AI and GenAI concepts, including LLMs, automation and decision-support systems.
• Experience or exposure to AI governance, model risk management and banking regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to operate in complex, matrix and federated environments without direct hierarchical authority.
• Strong senior stakeholder management and concise communication skills for executive audiences.
• Ability to balance innovation, risk and compliance with a pragmatic, value-driven approach.
