What you will do
- Converse with language models in Q'eqchi' across a wide range of topics.
- Verify linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, tone, meaning, and dialectical distinctions.
- Document reproducible model failure modes and capture detailed error traces.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
- Help develop training data that reflects Q'eqchi' vocabulary, grammar, dialects, and cultural context.
Requirements
- Q'eqchi' language expertise and familiarity with regional dialects, phonetics, syntax, idiomatic expressions, oral traditions, and cultural references.
- Ability to communicate metacognitively and clearly explain linguistic reasoning.
- Experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work is relevant.
- A degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a related field is ideal.
- Must be located in Mexico.
