What you will do
- Converse with advanced language models in Mapudungun across a wide range of topics.
- Evaluate vocabulary, grammar, phonetics, dialectical variations, idiomatic expressions, and cultural context.
- Verify linguistic accuracy, contextual interpretation, tone, meaning, and cultural relevance.
- Document reproducible model failure modes and error traces.
- Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
Requirements
- Mapudungun language expertise, including regional dialects, oral traditions, and cultural references.
- Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to explain reasoning and linguistic judgments.
- Experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community work is relevant.
- A degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a related field is ideal.
- Residence in Chile and the ability to work remotely.
- Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet.
