What you will do

  • Collaborate with feature owners and game designers to implement new game features.
  • Develop networked communications between the game client and server.
  • Design and maintain high-performance, scalable game server tools and libraries.
  • Write automated tests and work with QA to improve gameplay and prevent exploits.
  • Build tools to empower liveops and game design teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional game development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Unity and C# or other object-oriented languages.
  • Experience with asynchronous and multi-threaded programming.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud computing (AWS, GCP) and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Unix-like operating systems and database systems like Redis.
  • Ability to write efficient, low-latency, and low-IO code.

Nice to have

  • Experience with highly available backend systems for games.
  • Web development skills using modern frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure tools like Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Experience with stateful and stateless game server architectures.
