Associate Director - Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; flexible work depending on project needs, including office attendance and customer visits.

What you will do

• Lead mid- to large-scale customer-facing infrastructure projects as a project manager or project leader.
• Manage customer meetings, progress reporting, issue coordination, and expectation management.
• Oversee cloud, networking, security, and operations transition activities.
• Coordinate technical teams, partners, and vendors to maintain project progress.
• Manage risks, issues, scope changes, and delays, escalating when necessary.
• Support project expansion and additional proposals with a focus on customer value and business impact.

Requirements

• Experience as a project manager, project leader, team lead, or delivery lead in infrastructure projects.
• Customer-facing experience with meetings, progress reporting, issue coordination, and expectation management.
• Basic understanding of cloud, networking, servers, security, and operations.
• Experience coordinating multiple technical areas and stakeholders.
• Ability to organize risks, issues, scope changes, and delays and drive resolution.
• Clear aspiration to grow further as a project manager.

Nice to have

• Experience at a major systems integrator, IT services company, infrastructure consulting firm, or prime vendor.
• Senior project management or program management experience involving multiple teams or vendors.
• Experience with infrastructure refresh, cloud migration, network modernization, or operations improvement projects.
• Experience engaging C-level or department-level stakeholders, or project management certification such as PMP.
• Experience with project expansion, additional proposals, contract renewals, or account growth.
