Salary: $80,000 – $120,000

What you will do

• Prepare and file complex state and federal tax documents for business and individual clients.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Supervise engagement planning, monitor progress against budgets, and ensure adherence to deadlines.
• Represent clients before regulatory agencies and provide direct fieldwork on audit engagements.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to staff employees.
• Manage client relationships and diagnose business needs to suggest strategic financial solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Must be able to work on-site in Syracuse, Ithaca, Rochester, or Watertown, NY.
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to diagnose client needs and suggest solutions.
• Proven experience directing the work of staff and managing competing priorities.
• CPA certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with forensic accounting or financial planning services.
• Prior experience with business valuation.
