TL;DR
Senior QA Functional & Automation Engineer (Java/Cloud): Ensuring quality of cloud-based managed services and legacy-to-cloud migrations with an accent on automation frameworks and data integrity. Focus on building scalable test suites for APIs and microservices, validating complex data migrations from Mainframes to Azure, and implementing shift-left testing in CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Must be based in Lima, Peru (Hybrid)

What you will do
- Design comprehensive QA strategies for modernization initiatives, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Develop and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks for APIs, microservices, and frontend applications.
- Validate complex data migrations from legacy systems (DB2, VSAM) to modern cloud-native platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early defect detection (Shift-Left).
- Lead quality engineering discussions and mentor junior QA engineers in debugging and planning.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Data Architects, and Business Analysts to align testing outcomes with program milestones.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in QA automation.
- Advanced proficiency in Java (preferred) or Python for test automation.
- Deep experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Strong expertise in automating REST/SOAP services using RestAssured, Postman, or Karate.
- Hands-on experience testing applications on Azure (or AWS/GCP) and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Advanced SQL skills and ability to navigate Mainframe data (DB2, VSAM).
- Must be based in Lima, Peru for the hybrid work arrangement.
Nice to have
- Experience with Appium for mobile application validation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Perl, PowerShell, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of TDD, SDLC, and Agile software development practices.
