What you will do
- Survey relevant literature to identify promising research directions in 3D sensor analytics.
- Develop and implement methods to address specific challenges in the 3D sensor pipeline.
- Optimize algorithms to ensure low computational cost for embedded applications.
- Evaluate developed methods using both synthetic and real-world sensor data.
- Document the entire research and development process in a comprehensive thesis.
Requirements
- Must be a student in the final stages of a Master's program in Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- Must be affiliated with a Swedish University/College (directly or via exchange).
- Must apply in pairs with a co-applicant.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, computer vision, and applied statistics.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++.
- Familiarity with 3D data processing.
Nice to have
- Experience with Rust.
- Working knowledge of embedded systems.
- Experience with simulation environments for 3D sensor data.
