TL;DR

Principal Field Application Engineer (Automotive MCU): Serving as the primary technical interface for automotive customers to drive the adoption of NXP's Software Defined Vehicle and AI-defined platforms with an accent on MCU integration, system architecture, and technical problem-solving. Focus on guiding hardware and software integration, supporting complex system bring-ups, and managing technical escalations for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Location: Onsite in Seoul (Jung-gu), South Korea

What you will do

  • Provide expert technical support to automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers for NXP MCU platforms.
  • Enable customer design-in activities including Ethernet TSN, CAN-FD, and on-chip security engines.
  • Support system bring-up, development, and integration of AUTOSAR MCAL drivers.
  • Advise on system-level architecture, including zonal gateways, virtualization, and ECU consolidation.
  • Deliver technical presentations, PoC evaluations, and training for pre- and post-sales engagement.
  • Manage complex technical escalations in coordination with internal engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 7+ years of experience in FAE, applications, or design engineering with automotive MCUs.
  • Expertise in embedded systems design using ARM Cortex-M/R/A architectures.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming and embedded development tools.
  • Experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, PX5, or AutoSar OS) and AUTOSAR MCAL configuration.
  • Strong English communication skills for technical and non-technical engagement.

  • Knowledge of automotive MCU security implementation.
