TL;DR

C/C++ Software Engineer (hirify.global Flex): Developing and optimizing the core components of the hirify.global Flex hybrid storage engine with an accent on system-level performance, data consistency, and storage tier integration. Focus on solving complex challenges in data placement, eviction policies, and persistence within a high-performance Linux environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Sofia, Bulgaria (Hybrid role).

What you will do

  • Design and develop core components of the hirify.global Flex hybrid storage engine.
  • Work across hirify.global Core and flash storage layers to deliver high-performance solutions.
  • Solve deep system challenges including data placement, eviction, and persistence.
  • Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable C/C++ code for Linux.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Core, Cloud, and Performance.
  • Take ownership of features from initial design through to production deployment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience building production-grade systems in C/C++.
  • Strong background in systems programming (memory management, concurrency, performance).
  • Experience with storage systems, databases, or data-intensive applications.
  • Ability to navigate complex system trade-offs regarding latency, throughput, and durability.
  • Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Must be based in Bulgaria to support the hybrid office model in Sofia.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LSM-based storage engines like RocksDB or Speedb.
  • Background in hybrid storage systems (memory + disk/flash).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases or distributed systems.
  • Experience working on large-scale, high-throughput data platforms.
