What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of the Interhaptics haptic engine.
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing and optimization.
• Build scalable software abstractions to support existing and upcoming haptic devices.
• Implement high-performance, real-time haptic rendering and playback systems.
• Optimize system performance and minimize latency across desktop, mobile, and console platforms.
• Collaborate with internal hardware, platform, and SDK teams to ensure seamless ecosystem integration.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in software development with a focus on performance-critical systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++.
• Solid understanding of multithreading, real-time systems, performance optimization, and debugging.
• Experience designing and implementing robust, maintainable software architectures.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively drive technical solutions.
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple teams and disciplines.

Nice to have

• Experience with haptic systems, real-time engines (Unity, Unreal), or interactive technologies.
