What you will do

• Own and operationalise Canva’s people agenda across South East Asia, adapting global initiatives to local requirements and cultural context.
• Partner with a defined client group on organisational design, reorganisations, rewards benchmarking, country expansion, and people programs.
• Own regional employment compliance and people risk in partnership with Location Partners and Employment Legal.
• Act as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters and critical regional events.
• Use people data and insights to improve engagement, retention, employee experience, and organisational health.
• Lead and develop a team of four across People Partnering, People Relations, and Location Partners.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior HR Business Partner in a complex global environment.
• Deep knowledge of the Philippines employment landscape and ideally South East Asian regulatory, cultural, and market dynamics.
• Experience leading and developing People teams, including through dotted-line and matrixed relationships.
• Strong judgement when handling ambiguity and complex, sensitive people decisions.
• Ability to influence without authority and build trust with senior leaders.
• Pragmatic, autonomous, thoughtful, and action-oriented approach.
