What you will do

• Act as a proactive risk reducer by questioning decisions and ensuring teams understand what is in production, what is in each environment, and what is next to be built.
• Embed the three core QA activities: exploratory testing, shift-left, and collaborative QA (shared responsibilities).
• Analyze how systems work under the hood (technical architecture) and improve products through technical contributions and discussions.
• Support an organization-wide testing ethos by clarifying testing types and boundaries and ensuring team adherence to documented definitions.
• Advocate for efficiency in continuous integration by promoting stable, repeatable, reliable, fully automated delivery pipelines.
• Drive process improvements in an iterative SDLC and stay aware of global industry standards and regulations affecting product quality.

Requirements

• Experience in QA with a strong focus on surfacing and reducing risk at any stage of development.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and iterative SLDC practices.
• Ability to explain and embed exploratory testing, shift-left, and collaborative QA within a team.
• Experience contributing to technical discussions and implementations with awareness of technical architecture and supporting mechanisms.
• Experience working with continuous integration and automated delivery pipelines.
• Location in Shanghai to support hybrid working.
