Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid: required in-office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)

What you will do

• Lead the Monster Hunter Now franchise and a multi-disciplinary team across Design, Product, Production, and Engineering.
• Develop and execute a multi-year franchise strategy to drive strong business results.
• Manage the product development process, including roadmaps, production pipelines, and live ops calendars.
• Design and implement an AI strategy to augment team performance and accelerate productivity.
• Foster a collaborative relationship with IP holders to ensure brand integrity and develop resonating concepts.
• Coordinate with Product and Marketing teams to execute a deeply integrated audience and player growth strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience in free-to-play (F2P) gaming, specifically in Product, Design, or Production.
• Proven track record of operating and scaling successful F2P mobile games post-launch.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Japanese.
• Must be based in, or able to relocate to, Japan.
• Deep expertise in content development and live operations for midcore games.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across creative and analytical disciplines.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of or fandom for the Monster Hunter franchise.
• Experience or interest in AR and location-based gaming features.
• Familiarity with Monster Hunter Now, Pikmin Bloom, or Pokémon GO.
