Sinhalese Language Specialist (AI)

Location: Remote, Thailand

Salary: $6–$65 per hour, with the final rate determined by experience, expertise, and geographic location.

What you will do

• Converse with language models using Sinhalese language scenarios.
• Evaluate grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, pragmatics, and stylistic variation.
• Test topics including verb conjugation, case systems, word order, declensions, and gender.
• Verify factual accuracy and logical soundness in model responses.
• Document reproducible failure modes and suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

Requirements

• Sinhalese language expertise is required.
• Strong knowledge of Sinhalese grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.
• Clear metacognitive communication and the ability to show reasoning and analysis.
• A bachelor's degree in Sinhalese language, linguistics, or a closely related field is ideal.
• Must be located in Thailand.

Nice to have

• Peer-reviewed publications in linguistics or a related field.
• Teaching experience.
• Hands-on linguistic analysis project experience.
