Our client, with its HQ in Cyprus, was founded more than 10 years ago. Nowadays, it’s a major FunTech company that develops high-load entertainment streaming platforms powered by Machine Learning, AR/VR, and Computer Vision. It’s one of the world’s top-50 websites in the live entertainment industry at massive scale. Their products serve millions of users worldwide.

There are several hundred employees working at the company, mostly in the Cyprus office.

About this role

The company is not looking for a team manager, but for: a strategic driver; a person who will generate large-scale SEO initiatives; an SMM expert capable of proposing ideas for exponential organic traffic growth. It’s important that you can: propose strategic directions; strengthen the team with deep expertise; bring in new knowledge and insights. Primary focus — new strategic ideas.

Your future tasks

Long-Term Strategy & Global Roadmap

• Visionary Leadership: Develop, own, and execute a multi-year global SEO roadmap aligned with high-level business objectives. You will be responsible for presenting this strategic vision to the C-suite.
• Exponential Growth: Spearhead large-scale initiatives and innovative experiments designed to drive exponential organic traffic and visibility growth across global markets.
• GEO (Generative Engine Optimization): Future-proof search presence by developing strategies specifically designed for the AI era, capturing visibility in AI-generated experiences (SGE, ChatGPT, etc.).

Strategic Enrichment & Deep Audits

• Comprehensive Audits: Perform deep-dive assessments of the current SEO landscape — including technical architecture, semantic opportunities, and structural improvements—to identify and close systemic gaps.
• On-Site & Content Optimization: Audit existing assets to uncover semantic opportunities and structural refinements that maximize content yield.
• High-Authority Linkbuilding: Move beyond standard outreach by designing sophisticated acquisition strategies that build genuine authority and move the needle globally.

Collaborative Innovation & Mentorship

• Strategic Mentorship: Act as a bridge between high-quality execution and long-term vision, mentoring the existing SEO team to ensure every task contributes to the "big picture."
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with On-site and Linkbuilding Team Leads to validate growth concepts and refine execution plans, fostering an environment of collaborative innovation.
• Internal Subject Matter Expert: Guide weekly operations meetings, providing expert consultation to help the team troubleshoot roadblocks and optimize their approach for higher performance.

Advanced Analytics & Performance Governance

• Data-Driven Mastery: Utilize Google Search Console and advanced 3rd-party tools to monitor global performance trends and visibility growth.
• Impact Reporting: Measure and report on the success of specific initiatives, providing clear analysis of traffic impact and ROI to the executive team.

Expectations for the first 6 Months

• Conduct an audit of the current SEO strategy
• Propose improvements to existing processes
• Identify new strategic growth opportunities
• Continuously conduct research
• Work hands-on with tools
• Monitor performance (GSC, etc.)
• Generate product-specific initiatives

We expect from you

• 5+ years of overall SEO experience with a portfolio of specific strategies you designed that led to measurable growth.
• Experience at the level of: SEO Strategist, Lead SEO, Head of SEO (without a strong focus on people management)
• Proven hands-on expertise in SEO for complex IT products across global or multi-regional markets.
• Demonstrated understanding and proven results of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
• Expert proficiency in Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog.
• Data-driven approach. You must be able to translate data into a strong business case.
• Fluent English.
• Readiness for relocation to Cyprus in 2 months.
