Graphics Engineer Intern (GameDev)

TL;DR

Graphics Engineer Intern (C++/Graphics APIs): Developing and optimizing rendering code and implementing graphics techniques for game projects with an accent on C++ and GPU optimization. Focus on implementing rendering techniques, profiling GPU code, and maintaining high code quality within a professional game dev team.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in or be able to work from the office in Cracow (Poland) or Yerevan (Armenia)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable rendering code.
• Implement new or improve existing rendering techniques.
• Profile and optimize C++ and GPU code.
• Collaborate with the development team to maintain code quality and organization.
• Communicate effectively within the team to synchronize tasks.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of at least one Graphics API: DirectX 11/12, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal.
• Basic understanding of shading languages (HLSL, GLSL, or MSL).
• Practical knowledge in Rendering/Graphics via pet projects, GameJams, Hackathons, or open-source contributions.
• Ability to work full-time in the office (Monday–Friday) in Cracow.
• Strong desire to pursue a permanent position at hirify.global upon successful internship completion.

Nice to have

• Portfolio of pet projects hosted on GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of C++11/14/17 standards.
• Experience with game development and a genuine passion for gaming.
