TL;DR
Senior Staff Engineer - Senior Data Engineer (Manufacturing) (Spark/Kafka/Airflow/Databricks): Building scalable cloud data pipelines for high-volume manufacturing and IoT data with an accent on real-time OT/IT integration, lakehouse architectures, and operational analytics. Focus on extracting industrial data through OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus, designing medallion architectures, and improving yield, uptime, and efficiency through OEE, Six Sigma, SPC, and lean methodologies.
Location: Grand Prairie, Texas, United States. Onsite work required four days per week, Monday through Thursday, from the office.

What you will do
- Build scalable cloud data pipelines for high-volume manufacturing and IoT data.
- Integrate operational technology and information technology systems for real-time data extraction.
- Work with manufacturing systems including MES, SCADA, and ERP.
- Apply OEE, Six Sigma, SPC, and lean methodologies to improve yield, uptime, and efficiency.
- Design and implement medallion and lakehouse data architectures.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of professional experience required.
- Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and Delta Lake.
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols including OPC-UA, MQTT, and Modbus.
- Experience with MES, SCADA, ERP, shop-floor operations, and production planning is required for the manufacturing-focused scope.
