What you will do

• Design lighting schemes that match art direction and client expectations for mood and visual quality.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Directors, and client representatives to refine and validate work.
• Optimize lighting to produce the best possible image quality within the technical limitations of the engine.
• Create and estimate tasks for the Lighting Art team and resolve lighting-related bugs.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure lighting supports the overall look and scene scenery.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Lighting Artist in the game industry with experience in senior or lead level tasks.
• At least one shipped title in the portfolio.
• Extensive knowledge of color theory, lighting, composition, and real-time/pre-rendered techniques.
• Proficiency in UE4 lighting; knowledge of UE5’s Lumen, VSM, and Nanite is a bonus.
• Experience with DCC tools (Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender) and art software like Photoshop and Substance.
• Ability to provide and accept feedback and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in photography.
• Experience in other areas of computer graphics.
• Ability to create concept art.
