What you will do

• Prototype, implement, and own gameplay scenarios, narrative sequences, and AI behaviors.
• Develop interactive objects and other core game mechanics and systems.
• Coordinate with animation, programming, and art departments to produce required assets and code support.
• Foster team cohesion and provide guidance to design leadership regarding communication and team dynamics.
• Operate with minimal supervision while maintaining transparency with lead designers and directors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in Technical Design for games.
• A minimum of 2 shipped game titles.
• Significant programming ability; a Computer Science undergraduate degree is preferred.
• Fluency in C++, C#, Lua, or other text-based scripting languages.
• Expertise in 3D math and a deep understanding of narrative principles to convey emotion through gameplay.
• Must be based in the Los Angeles area for hybrid/onsite work.

Nice to have

• Experience developing third-person action games.
• Experience with Behavior Trees, Narrative Gameplay Sequences, and Encounter Design.
