TL;DR
Java Data Engineer (Java/Kafka/Flink): Building and maintaining a scalable data platform for internal and external clients with an accent on stream processing, data reconciliation, and high-availability analytics. Focus on designing ETL pipelines, optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data consistency across various sources.
Location: Hybrid in Limassol, Cyprus. Relocation support provided.

What you will do
- Construct architecture for data integration solutions to meet business requirements.
- Develop new data solutions including ETLs, pipelines, integration services, and batch/stream processing.
- Perform Ops tasks such as k8s tuning, GitLab CI/CD pipeline management, and Terraform configuration.
- Maintain existing data solutions and lead the transition to a target data platform architecture.
- Build infrastructure for optimal data storage, processing, and provisioning for external teams.
- Define SLAs, set up monitoring, and analyze metrics for data delivery and processing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Expert proficiency in Java.
- Experience with Kafka and Flink (or similar stream processing technologies) is a must-have.
- Experience with in-memory databases (e.g., Redis, Tarantool) and MPP appliances (e.g., ClickHouse, BigQuery, Vertica, PostgreSQL).
- Expert knowledge of SQL and query optimization.
- Proven experience in designing and building scalable ETL pipelines and high-availability analytics solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with Spark Streaming, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or KSQL.
