TL;DR

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Phoenix or Tucson, AZ, USA. Hybrid work options available after 90 days.

What you will do

  • Lead technical design and manage small project teams for dams, levees, and spillways.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to deliver plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Translate client requirements into efficient workplans and technical strategies.
  • Oversee equipment procurement and construction management processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support business development and pursuit activities.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
  • Active engineering registration or licensure required to support Engineer of Record (EOR) duties.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, civil/structural design, and geotechnical considerations.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US (no visa sponsorship available).

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Business.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulatory requirements for dams and hydropower clients.
