What you will do

• Architect and build intuitive, elegantly designed mobile apps for news audiences.
• Develop software tools and procedures to enhance and extend the core production pipeline.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Delivery, and Editorial teams to implement consumer experience solutions.
• Perform root cause analysis and debugging to troubleshoot production problems.
• Maintain and evolve existing production systems within the digital ecosystem.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to industry best practices, security, and coding standards.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or an equivalent degree.
• Minimum 5 years of professional development experience.
• Expertise in Swift, Objective-C, SwiftUI, and the iOS platform.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture for performant and secure apps.
• Hands-on experience with mobile DevOps, CI/CD tools (specifically Git and Bitrise), and automated testing.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Cloud Computing platforms such as Amazon AWS.
• General familiarity with database technologies (SQL, RDBMS, NoSQL, GraphDB).
