3D Animator (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia; expected to work from the office at least 3 days per week.

What you will do

• Create high-quality 3D animations for marketing campaigns, product showcases, social media, and brand storytelling.
• Develop character, object, and environment animations, translating storyboards and creative concepts into polished content.
• Produce cinematic camera movements, transitions, and visual sequences that strengthen audience engagement.
• Manage the end-to-end 3D production pipeline, including modeling, rigging, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and post-production.
• Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Product, Content, motion design, video, illustration, and production teams.
• Mentor junior animators and designers, present creative solutions to stakeholders, and improve production standards and workflows.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Animation, Multimedia Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Effects, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in 3D animation, CGI production, motion graphics, or visual storytelling.
• Expert proficiency in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or equivalent 3D software.
• Strong experience with lighting, rendering, compositing, animation pipelines, and Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, or related tools.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, movement, weight, and visual storytelling, with experience creating character, product, or environment animations.
• Strong English communication is required. A portfolio or showreel demonstrating advanced 3D animation work is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine, Houdini, or real-time rendering workflows.
• Knowledge of character rigging, simulations, dynamics, and visual effects.
• Experience integrating AI-assisted creative tools into animation workflows.
• Background in advertising, digital products, technology, fintech, or startup environments.
