Lead Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Lead Security Analyst (Cybersecurity): Securing the Microsoft environment, including Azure and Entra ID, while managing incident response and vulnerability remediation with an accent on identity and access management (IAM) and SOC capabilities. Focus on building the security foundation from the ground up during a tenant migration and improving detection engineering.

Location: Netherlands-based, Hybrid (approx. 2 days a week onsite in Rotterdam)

What you will do

• Design and improve the security of the Azure tenant, Entra ID, and identity and access setup.
• Partner with Workspace Management to protect endpoints and manage access rights (starters, movers, leavers).
• Investigate, track, and handle escalated security alerts and incidents.
• Lead vulnerability management and drive system patching efforts for endpoints and server infrastructure.
• Implement and improve SOC tooling, specifically SIEM and SOAR capabilities.
• Maintain compliance with frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIS2.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience securing enterprise environments across identity, infrastructure, cloud, and incident response.
• Deep expertise in Azure, Entra ID, Conditional Access, PIM, Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
• Proven SOC/Blue Team experience in monitoring, detecting, and responding to live threats.
• Experience implementing and tuning SIEM, SOAR, and detection engineering capabilities.
• Must be based in the Netherlands.
• Ability to work hybrid (onsite in Rotterdam ~2 days/week).

Nice to have

• Experience with tools like Wazuh, Sentinel, or Splunk.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, AZ-500, or SC-900.
• Familiarity with secure development practices.
