What you will do

• Develop and optimize mammalian expression (CHO/HEK, transient and stable), pushing titer, quality, and reproducibility.
• Manage purification across modalities, including Protein A, IEX, and SEC, ensuring the quality of proteins shipped.
• Transform expression and purification into a productized, high-throughput, and automated capability.
• Partner with lab automation to scale workflows onto automated systems and reduce manual, person-dependent steps.
• Collaborate with the software team to track samples and make production yields and quality observable.
• Set quality bars and troubleshoot failures across biology, reagents, and processes.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on expertise in mammalian protein expression and purification (CHO/HEK), from construct to purified protein.
• Applied industry experience in a production or industrial setting where yield, reproducibility, and turnaround matter at scale.
• Proven track record of titer optimization, scale-up, and consistent quality.
• Ability to rapidly build and continuously improve production capabilities.
• Interdisciplinary approach to collaborating with automation and software engineers.

• Data fluency, including scripting, tracking, and analyzing process data.
