What you will do

• Partner with product, executive leadership, design, and sales to build simple and effective solutions.
• Champion AI development practices and mentor the engineering organization on using AI to increase sprint velocity and code quality.
• Build and manage robust, secure, and scalable distributed systems.
• Collaborate with leadership to establish a unified technical direction and a culture of speed and excellence.
• Review pull requests and lead the evolution of legacy monolithic architecture toward a modern stack.

Requirements

• Must be based in LATAM.
• Mastery of large-scale services using Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases (MySQL/Postgres), and AWS infrastructure (Aurora, RDS, SQS).
• AI-native workflow: proficiency in using AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) as a primary partner in the development lifecycle.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to represent the engineering team in high-stakes discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
