FPGA Build System Engineer (Engineering Productivity)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize build systems for FPGA development workflows.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Automate build processes using Python, Shell scripting, and Makefiles.
• Build and deploy containerized build environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor build system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot complex build failures and toolchain problems.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia with a valid work permit.
• BSc or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Shell/Bash scripting.
• Solid experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Ansible.
• Strong knowledge of Git and Linux administration.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of TCL scripting.
• Experience with FPGA design tools like Xilinx Vivado or Intel Quartus.
• Familiarity with Gerrit code review system.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Understanding of hardware/software co-design workflows.
