What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and coach the Recovery Services team, managing performance, resource allocation, and workload.
- Take ownership of backup and disaster recovery products, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to SLAs.
- Manage ITSM processes including change, incident, problem, and capacity management via ServiceNow.
- Oversee infrastructure capacity and performance, providing budget forecasting and capital planning input.
- Maintain vendor relationships, specifically with Veeam, and coordinate procurement for licenses and hardware.
- Plan and execute recovery exercises, service audits, and disaster recovery testing cycles.
Requirements
- Must be based in Auckland, NZ.
- 5+ years of technical experience in infrastructure, Windows Server, backup/recovery, or managed services.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management.
- Proven expertise with enterprise backup platforms (Veeam preferred) and virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V).
- Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and tools, specifically ServiceNow.
- Commercial awareness regarding budgeting, forecasting, and vendor engagement.
