What you will do

• Lead the full cover and jacket design process from initial concept to final production-ready artwork.
• Develop original design concepts, including jackets, covers, endpapers, and decorative elements.
• Commission and direct illustrators, photographers, and other creative talent.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, production, and internal design teams.
• Prepare press-ready files, manage color correction, and review printed proofs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in book or publishing design.
• Strong conceptual portfolio demonstrating versatility in cover design, typography, and composition.
• Proven experience commissioning and art-directing illustrators and creative contributors.
• Advanced skills in digital photo-illustration, image compositing, and layout design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Solid understanding of pre-press processes, color management, and print production workflows.
