What you will do

• Edit technology-focused news across the Asia file, ensuring high standards of clarity and accuracy.
• Commission sophisticated pieces on complex technical subjects to make them comprehensible to a global audience.
• Partner closely with the technology editor and team in London to coordinate global coverage.
• Mentor and support local reporters, helping them develop their skills and adapt stories for international readers.
• Collaborate with the Hong Kong newsdesk on a range of general desk tasks.

Requirements

• Significant experience as a journalist, reporter, or editor for a top-tier global media outlet.
• Native-level English proficiency.
• Strong news judgement and expert copy-editing skills.
• Experience in business and financial coverage.
• Must be based in Hong Kong to work from the editorial hub.
