Salary: €3,059 – €3,881 gross per month

What you will do
- Assemble van der Waals magnets using dry-transfer techniques.
- Fabricate spintronic nano-devices using state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities.
- Perform low-temperature transport measurements and conduct data analysis.
- Model measurements to understand and control spin-waves at the nano-scale.
- Collaborate with researchers in the Dutch quantum ecosystem and academic partners in Japan.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in physics, applied physics, or nanoscience.
- Strong interest in experimental condensed-matter physics, spintronics, and quantum nanoscience.
- Motivation for hands-on work in cleanroom and cryogenic laboratories.
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming (e.g., QCoDeS) for data acquisition and analysis.
- English proficiency required for academic communication, courses, and thesis writing.
- Ability to travel to Japan for stays up to 42 weeks as part of the project collaboration.

- Prior experience with 2D material assembly and nanofabrication.
