What you will do

• Manage day-to-day social presence on X and LinkedIn, including product updates, customer wins, and conference content.
• Lead the Proteinbase community, overseeing the newsletter, Slack, and designer spotlights.
• Own the participant-facing side of open competitions and hackathons, from communication and rules to judging logistics and recaps.
• Triage inbound community and customer messages, routing technical questions to the appropriate team members.
• Collaborate with founders and the science team to determine content strategy and amplification.

Requirements

• 1-3 years experience running social, content, or community for a technical company or science-adjacent brand.
• Strong, distinctive writing voice capable of creating engaging content without relying on generic AI phrasing.
• Genuine curiosity and ability to follow technical conversations in protein design and AI.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple channels and partnerships simultaneously.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of deciding what to post without a pre-set editorial calendar.

Nice to have

• Existing presence in protein design or AI bio circles.
• Prior experience running hackathons or building technical communities from scratch.
• Proficiency in short-form video editing.
