Location: Hybrid (must be based in San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA). Staff are expected to be in the office at least 25% of the time.

Salary: $185,000 - $255,000 USD

What you will do

• Own end-to-end communications for feature updates and provide critical support for model and flagship product launches.
• Translate Claude's technical capabilities into accessible messaging for developers, customers, and journalists.
• Develop press materials, including press releases, talking points, FAQs, and blog posts.
• Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, newsletter writers, and creators who shape the AI discourse.
• Prepare product and research leaders to act as effective spokespeople for the company.
• Coordinate communication strategies across press, social, owned, and community channels.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in communications or PR, specifically within an AI company, research lab, or technical product company.
• Must be based in or be able to work from San Francisco, New York City, or Seattle.
• Proven track record of supporting frontier model or technical product launches.
• Existing professional relationships with reporters and creators covering AI.
• Strong writing skills and fluency in where technical conversations happen (e.g., X, Hacker News, developer forums).
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

• Active user of Claude with a clear perspective on product strengths and weaknesses.
