TL;DR

Senior Application Security Engineer (AppSec): Designing and overseeing controls to validate and improve the security of hirify.global’s products and services with an accent on secure design, architecture, and development lifecycle practices. Focus on leading security reviews, building scalable security automation, and mitigating emerging threats for Apple device management solutions.

Location: Hybrid in Katowice, Poland. Must be based in Poland and have sponsorship/authorization to live and work in Poland.

What you will do

  • Lead security reviews for current and new products to identify and prioritize risks.
  • Drive and improve secure development lifecycle (SDL) practices, including threat modeling and testing.
  • Define secure designs, requirements, and reference architectures for implementation.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex security issues.
  • Develop and scale security automation tools and processes across the organization.
  • Mentor junior Product Security Engineers and lead the Product Security Champions guild.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in software development and application security.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software security principles and controls.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (minimum 2 years).
  • Experience with security assessment tools and familiarity with OWASP frameworks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Must be based in Poland and possess valid work authorization.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Apple device management.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC Security Essentials, or AWS Certified Security.
