TL;DR

Automation Test Engineer (PropTech): Designing and implementing automated testing frameworks to ensure software reliability for the global commercial real estate market with an accent on QA automation and CI/CD integration. Focus on building frameworks from scratch and delivering high-quality software across web and cloud systems.

Location: Christchurch, New Zealand. Must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Salary: NZD 80,000 – 110,000

What you will do

  • Take ownership of the QA automation function and drive the evolution of the testing approach.
  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks for web, cloud, and integrated systems.
  • Develop and execute automation scripts, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify defects early and support UAT.
  • Define standards, release readiness criteria, and maintain clear test plans aligned with delivery cycles.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer with a track record of building automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC principles, testing methodologies, and defect tracking.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Postman.
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand.

Nice to have

  • Experience with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, and HTML.
  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field and Quality Assurance Certification.
