What you will do

• Develop and optimize systems for executing algorithms on mobile and cloud platforms to ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Build key abstractions, data stores, and syncing protocols to handle TBs of data between the mobile application and AWS cloud.
• Empower feature teams to develop end-to-end features by providing scalable platform tools and standardized data schemas.
• Ensure systems are performant and cost-efficient, capable of supporting millions of active users and PBs of data.
• Collaborate across mobile and backend domains to improve the overall developer experience (devX) for algorithm-heavy features.

Requirements

• Broad knowledge of software fundamentals, algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and system design.
• Experience solving challenging technical problems and producing high-quality code quickly.
• Ability to take full ownership of projects, from technical design to implementation and delivery.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills for effective team collaboration.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Helsinki, Finland.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Swift or Android/Kotlin).
• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C++, Rust, or Python.
• Knowledge of distributed system design, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and database optimization (SQLite, Postgres).
• Exposure to ML operations and frameworks like PyTorch.
