What you will do

• Expand Python-based bunker tracking models to new global hubs, fine-tuning for specific local nuances.
• Validate model activity via routine backtesting against official port statistics and industry publications.
• Analyze bunker tracking datasets to identify and resolve structural data quality issues in the pipeline.
• Help mature the development and persistence of bunker pipelines to ensure maintainability and scalability.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Practical experience with Python for data processing.
• Comfort working with SQL (queries, joins, and basic schema concepts).
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks.
• Location: Must be based in Singapore for on-site work

Nice to have

• Exposure to pandas, SQLAlchemy, or similar ETL data stacks.
• Familiarity with Git, pull requests, and collaborative code review.
• Interest in shipping, energy commodities, maritime AIS, or geospatial data.
