Medical Laboratory Technician

What you will do

• Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing.
• Conduct routine and specialized tests in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with pathologists and medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.

Requirements

• Degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent scientific field.
• Current certification such as MT (ASCP) or home country equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Must be able to relocate to Balad, Iraq and maintain a valid passport.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Nice to have

• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor.
