Motion Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Seoul, South Korea

What you will do

• Design motion and animation for AI interfaces, including loading states, streaming responses, task progress, and system transitions.
• Create visual patterns for uncertainty, thinking, waiting, failure, recovery, and asynchronous AI processes.
• Collaborate with product and UX designers to define feedback, confidence cues, and error-state behavior.
• Build motion specifications and prototypes that engineers can implement accurately.
• Define motion design principles and maintain a reusable animation library for AI surfaces.
• Optimize animation for real-time, latency-sensitive interactions while reducing confusion rather than adding decoration.

Requirements

• Experience in motion design for digital products with a portfolio demonstrating interface animation.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Lottie, Rive, or equivalent tools.
• Understanding of how motion communicates system state, feedback, progress, and user guidance.
• Ability to design animation within mobile and web technical constraints.
• Experience collaborating closely with product designers and engineers.
• Awareness of accessibility and performance considerations for animation.
