What you will do

• Lead the design of high-performance distributed systems for global traffic.
• Drive the transition toward a service-oriented architecture (SOA) for modularity.
• Enforce code quality through SOLID principles, design patterns, and testing standards.
• Coach mid-level engineers through deep code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement advanced caching and database strategies.
• Partner with Product and DevOps teams to translate requirements into technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience with deep PHP mastery.
• 4+ years of enterprise-grade application development in Laravel or Symfony.
• Must reside and be fully eligible to work in Spain.
• Mastery of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging patterns.
• Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, AWS, and Docker.
• Fluent English required for stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS/PaaS or microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with eSIM or GSMA technologies.
• Experience in Traveltech solutions.
• Background in building or maintaining custom SDKs.
